RENO, Nev. — Reno 1868 FC will open up the USL regular season against Swope Park Rangers on March 17 at Greater Nevada Field. 

The two Western Conference powers will square-off in a match sponsored by Dolan Auto Group.

Both clubs finished the season in the Top 5 in the Western Conference in 2017.

It will also be the first match that new Reno signee Mark Anthony Gonzalez will get to face-off  against his former club. Gonzalez scored 17 goals over two seasons at Swope and was named the club’s 2016 Offensive Player of the Year.

Reno dominated the regular season series 2-0 last year including a 4-1 win in the first meeting between the clubs.

Reno 1868 FC will also travel to Las Vegas on March 24 to help Las Vegas Lights FC open up their season at home and kick off the brand new in-state rivalry.
