RENO, Nev.– Fresh off of a 2-1 road comeback win on Wednesday, Reno 1868 FC returns home to take on Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday. Reno enters the match sporting a record of 7-4-5 with 26 points, good for fourth in the USL’s Western Conference. Sacramento comes to town with a 7-5-2 record, and their 23 points have them in seventh place.
On Wednesday, Reno picked up three big points with a comeback win in Portland. Portland Timbers 2 entered in second place in the conference, and lead 1-0 at halftime. Danny Musovski and Seth Casiple would score in the 60th and 62nd minutes, respectively, to secure the win for Reno.
Sacramento is coming off of a dominant 6-0 home win against Tulsa. Cameron Iwasa and Stefano Bonomo each had a pair of goals in the win.
Reno won the first Donner Pass Derby match of the season, winning on the road 4-1 in May. 1868 FC owns a 3-1-1 all-time record against Sacramento in USL Championship play.
