Klimenta, 28, signed with Reno 1868 FC early into the 2019 season. The defender joins Reno after a lengthy career with Sacramento Republic FC. Klimenta became Republic FC’s all-time leader in minutes, appearances, and starts for the club. The defender had 102 total appearances, nine goals and five assists. The defender was first picked up by Sacramento Republic FC in their inaugural season after attending an open tryout with the club in 2014. That same season, Klimenta and Sacramento Republic FC went on to win the USL Cup Championship. The defender also briefly played with LA Galaxy in the MLS.

Growing up, Klimenta played club soccer for Mustang out of Danville.

In his free time, he enjoys sleeping, watching TV, going to the movies, and his favorite thing: eating. He says if he weren't playing soccer he would want to be a firefighter and his number one travel destination is Brazil., but he also wants to go to Bali and the Maldives.
