Corey Hertzog comes back to 1868 FC after a record-breaking first year in Reno in 2019. The veteran attacker scored 19 goals and tallied six assists, both career highs, in 2019. After just one season, Hertzog is already second all-time in goals with Reno, trailing Brian Brown’s 28 from 2017-19.

In 2019, Hertzog scored two goals on three separate occasions, including a 3-0 road victory over Tulsa to cap the regular season. In the playoffs, Hertzog joined Brown as just the second player to score for Reno in the USL playoffs.

Hertzog signed to Reno 1868 FC at the beginning of the 2019 season. The forward formerly played for Saint Louis FC and boasts 64 goals and 18 assists in the 155 career appearances of his USL career. In 2018, he recorded four goals and three assists in 26 appearances. He added to his career with 12 appearances in MLS for the Vancouver Whitecaps where he recorded one goal and had one assist.

Growing up the forward played for MT. Penn. He also spent time with Reading United of USL League Two.

During his free time he likes to watch Friends and The Office and eat ice cream. If he weren’t playing soccer he would like to be flipping houses. His number one travel destination is Bora Bora.
